Thermoforming and Printing Division

The final components of SIGNUM’s vertically integrated manufacturing process are two thermoforming facilities, based in Sydney and Melbourne. These facilities deliver the latest in thermoforming technology which gives customers access to a wide range of polymers including PET, RE-PET, HIPS, Polypropylene and the latest bioplastic options such as Plantic and PLA.

Combined, these facilities represent the largest equipment fleet of its kind in Australia. Sustainable packaging products on offer include trap sheet pressure forming and high speed vacuum forming of cold cups, trays, Sho-Bowl and customer specific designs.

SIGNUM treats its manufacturing facilities as food processing factories and has in place strict HACCP and ISO9001 protocols. Our management systems focus on continually refining all processes to manufacture consistent specifications, which have clear operating instructions and produce highly repeatable products.

The most recent capability expansion is SIGNUM’s investment in specialist German equipment for the forming, rim rolling and dry offset printing of crystal – clear, cold beverage cups made from RE-PET.  See Our Products listings for more details.
