OBJECTIVES / RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

SUMMARY
Ensure that the shift and department operates in a safe manner at the lowest possible cost. The main aim of this role is to facilitate and develop a focussed and efficient shift team, by applying World Class Manufacturing Principles. An integral part of this role is to ensure cohesive and close co-operation with other shift teams. This role has overall responsibility for product quality, financial and operational performance of the shift, maintaining and improving manufacturing standards, reaching and maintaining manufacturing objectives / budgets and management of Industrial Relations at shift level.
